Concrete Scanning         (X Ray)

High Frequency GPR Concrete Scanner

Concrete Scanning commonly referred to as Concrete X Ray or Floor Scanning is a non destructive way to scan you slab prior to any works. This often helps prevent damage to the structure being worked on as well as damage to machinery, and even injury to the operator or other workers on site. Using the latest Mala CX12 GPR Durascan can accurately detect ferrous and non ferrous materials within the concrete to an approximate depth of 400mm.2025

Post Tension Cable Locating,

The location of Post Tension(PT Cables) is extremely important before performing any penetration in a concrete slab. A Post Tension Cable is a highly tensioned cable usually found in suspended concrete slabs. If a PT cable is cut it can release a huge amount of energy that can cause the concrete to crack or even explode. This amount of energy has the potential to permanently injury or even kill a worker in the area, there is also the possibility that is could weaken the slab and even cause it to collapse

Steel, Mesh, Reo Locating

Using the latest Mala CX12 GPR Concrete Scanner, Durascan is able to accurately locate and mark out to a depth of approximately 400mm any Steel, Mesh, Reo, that may be lying below the concrete surface. Locating these types of matter is crucial when penetrating the concrete to avoid damage to the structural integrity of the concrete slab or wall.

Inspect Concrete thickness

Durascan is able to give an approximate depth of a concrete slab up to a depth of 400mm. This can show trades such as engineers if the slab is strong enough for future planning or improvements, and is also a way to locate structural concrete beams in suspended slabs to avoid penetrating into the beams 2025

Structure Investigation,

Durascan is able to tell you the amount if any structural steel is in your slab, including the spacings depth of steel and thickness of slab. This shows you if the slab is correct with engineering specifications, or even to investigate if your concreter has correctly installed steel into your new slab.
